shaky hands
Thursday, November 17, 2011 at 2:20PM i take all responsiblity for the flash reflection, the finger in the photo and the slight blurring of the image.i took a number of photos and they all look like this. it took me half an hour to price and place this grouping of titian ware dishes, circa 1899. they make my hands shake.
they survived the big storm of '09. uncle james wake in '17. that huge fight back in the forties when he gave her the pearls she wore to her grave. they made it through visits from company both welcome and strained. late nights / early mornings.
112 years of drama has left them unscathed. they are ready for a new cupboard, fancy potatos and gravy, new hands to wash them up with a silent smile of remembrance at the joy of conversation and laughter. could it be you ?

I think these will be great for the holidays. I love the cups.
Stunning grouping...love, love, love!
What a lovely invocation of history! That's EXACTLY why new just can't beat old.
Whoa. That's one antique set!
